Romanian Adventure – Day 1

Just wanted to give you the highlights of our trip so far…

How do I seem to end up in the 5 star locations of a country? Our hotel is extremely modern and comfy.

As for today… we met with a school principal, a museum curator, a vice president (more like Lt. governor), a mayor and a councilman. None of them at the same time as that would have been too convenient. We met to discuss the aquisition of a castle ruins refered to as ‘The Fortress’. It’s German name translates as Falconburg. It was built in the 1200s and last occupied in the late 1500s. It sits on a hill about 400 feet above the valley floor. Unfortunately most of my photos did not turn out, so I will delay posting them until I can find a better collection.

If all goes well, it would be an interesting mix of leadership training center/ youth camp/ tourist destination.

My battery is about to run out and i left my power converter at home. So much for savvy world traveler. I’ll post again when i am recharged.
