Still Travelin’
It has been a crazy prep week for Romania. Monday morning started with an e-mail from our Romanian partners requesting a cancellation of camp due to extremely dismal registration. This just two days before we were to fly. It turns out their economy has been harder hit than imagined. Only 25 students could afford the camp fees.
After consultation with our executive staff, we decided to step out by faith and underwrite the fees for every student who would attend camp. Thank you, Lord, for men who are willing to lead by faith. We are not sure where the monies will come from, but are trusting God to move upon His people.
Monday afternoon we received confirmation that camp would indeed be held. After scrambling to finish packing, we left this morning (Wednesday) for LAX. Unfortunately, we had a vehicle breakdown. Fortunately, it was at the Lyons exit in Santa Clarita. Two hours later we were back on the road.
As we head to bed, I am confident that God will do a great work when we get there. It seems that Satan is intent on discouraging us or causing our focus to shift from the eternal to the temporal. Please pray for us over the next 32 hours or so as we travel. Pray especially that we arrive in Timasoara with all of our luggage.
We will try to post again on a layover in London.
